Building your Emotional Resilience
is as important as caring for your physical health

Self-Care and Stress
Self-care promotes positive well-being and helps you recognize stress responses.
When Stress is GOOD for you | When Stress is BAD for you |
A moderate amount of stress can be good. Stress gets you excited about life, motivates you and improves your performance. | When stress becomes too frequent, intense or prolonged, it can become harmful and impacts daily functioning. Eg: Sleep difficulties, appetite issues, low energy and reduced concentration. |
Prolonged, high frequency and intense stress may lead to medical conditions such as high blood pressure, heart conditions, depression and anxiety disorder. It can also hurt relationships.
Taking care of yourself is an important part of building resilience. It’s the best gift you can give yourself and loved ones.
Prevention is always better than cure

Our Clients’ Stories
Self-Care isn’t Selfish
“Dawn (mental health coach) was non-intrusive and I felt comfortable sharing with her. She was also able to wrap up the session with the impact I felt I needed. Although it was a brief session, I had more takeaways than I had expected. I discovered that I had not cared enough for myself and I need to take steps towards self-care. It was a good experience. Thank you, TSC!”

Discovering a Deeper Pain I Wasn’t Aware Of
“It felt really good that Winston (mental health coach) could objectively reflect to me how I felt. I had initially taken up the online consult because of my persistent headache and work stress. I wanted to explore solutions. However, as Winston processed with me, I discovered a deeper pain in me, grieving over the inability to relate with my Dad. Now that things are clearer, I’m going to take steps to connect with my Dad.”

Celebrating My Late Brother’s Life
“I know my late brother held a special place in my heart but I didn’t realise I had not given myself the needed time and space to process through the grief and loss. I’m glad that my friend referred me to TSC’s Resilience Consult.
Moving on, I’m going to pen down my memories of my brother and celebrate his life!”
